This is a bamboo flute in excellent condition. It has many markings reminiscent of those for a ruler. The flute can still be played, but I have not tried it.

Tiliang Yixing Teapots are relatively rare. Many break in the transportation. This is a miniature one, new. circa 1995. It is very well made, has the maker's mark in the bottom. This is a Mid-Qing table screen. The wood throughout is zitan; there are no condition problems. No breaks,no nicks. The stone is called lu dou stone, from China's Yunnan Province (in the Southwest). well used soapstone seal It is carved as two stalks of bamboo. It is tied by bamboo vine and leafs. The characters in the base describe the owner: "artistic heart".

This very nice modest sized brushpot is very nicely fluted. The carver creatively carved the surname of the owner-to-be, Jiang, in the side of the pot. It is almost like a shadow, almost better seen in a photograph than in the hand. This pot has a few normal nicks and scratches, indicative of regular use since it was made about 100 years ago. There are now other soapstone scholar's objects on this site: a very nice brushwasher, great Mountain with two monkeys, a seal and now this.

This is a very nice desk ornament: it is a carved shoe. Normally these are done of boxwood (huangyangmu). This is a rather rare one in huznghuali The lines are elegant, the condition is excellent.
