| This Frog was carved in the Late Ming dynasty by an unknown carver of great skill. He captured the essence of a snarling frog with fulsome warts all over the body. After being carved this animal was swathed in ark lacquer: over time it has aged to a reddish brown. There are apparently tiny worm holes in the base, the lacquer was not put there, but but they never went anywhere and are stable. | |||||||||||
