| This is a huanghuali huacha. That literally means it is a flower (bud) vase but could also hold incense sticks, small tools, etc. As the photos show, this is two pieces: the main cylinder is 14 cm tall, the feet are another 1 cm. The diameter is 5 cm at the top, about 4.5 cm at the bottom. The piece is thus beautifully almost not noticeably tapered from top to bottom. The separate plug (seems like a spoon of sorts)in frame 7 is 2.5 cm tall with a diameter of 2 cm. No defects to report This dates from the late 18th/early 19th century.. There are twp small defect in the side. These seem natural to the wood not man-made. These are highlighted in frames 8 and 9 . | ||||||||||||
