ARTIST: Mary Wright (Russel Wright's wife); TITLE OF WORK: Large Wood Bowl; AGE: 1940s; DIMENSIONS: 16"l x 7-1/2"w x 3-1/2"h; MEDIUM/MATERIALS: Varnished oak; MARKS: Mary Wright branded on bottom; CONDITION: Excellent - tiny (3/16"w x 1/4"l) patched ding, burn marks on bottom (photos available); COMMENTS: Mary Wright died in 1952, making very little of her woodwork available today - even less than her husband, Russell's famous "Oceana" line - and a bowl of this size and beauty is a rare treasure.
