| Hindu Deity widely worshipped as the Remover of Obstacles. This elephant headed son of Shiva and Parvati is also known as the supreme God of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Gilded bronze with some red lacquer painting in parts. Four hands holding the Axe (repels obstacles), the whip (rid of worldly desires and attachments), lotus flower or padma(highest goal of human evolution, the sweetness of realized self), and one hand turned towards the devotee (in a pose of blessing, refuge and protection, abhaya).
