A Chinese mirror, mounted on the back with a panel of green jade carved with shou characters and the handle with a similar green jade. This small mirror is encased in a gilt and enameled silver frame. Stamped " silver". Age: C. 1900. size: 13 cm long. condition: very good, no breaks, no restoration. provenance: from the collection of Michael Sherrard QC, OBE. ( 1928-2012)

A Chinese mirror with a jade belt hook forming its handle and mounted on its back with a panel of white metal embossed with dragon and clouds. The jade is of dark celadon color and is of substantial size of 12 cm long and excellently carved . A Chinese silver goblet embossed with a continuous scene of figures and horses set against a background of pavilions, mountains, pagoda and trees. It is raised on three entwined bamboo branches. This is a high quality object of vertu, the figures have human faces with features- look for a laughing old man with animated face. A Chinese lady's belt made of 16 mother of pearl discs each mounted with alternate appliques of butterfly and auspicious Chinese characters. One of the two end gilt silver clasps which are decorated with enamel characters is stamped "90" followed by characters. The quality of the multicolor enamel work as seen in the butterflies, is superb. size: 70 cm long. age: C. 1900. condition: One butterfly is missing and one disc has part of the Chinese character missing.

A Chinese silver goblet of monumental size and magnificent craftsmanship, the cup with a diameter of 12.8 cm is chased and embossed with a continuous scene of numerous foot soldiers, warriors on horesback and courtiers in pavilions- all against a dense background of trees, mountains and pagodas. The stem is applied with finely cast dragons, showing minute details of face and skin...

A Chinese three piece tea and coffee set decorated with a raised dragon stretching right around the bulbous body of each item. This decoration is laid on the flat surface and forms a three dimensional sculptural effect. The handles are formed as sea dragons and the finials as heads of the creature. A Chinese mother of pearl box of canted rectangular shape and mounted with silver edgings. The cover is delicately and minutely engraved with a scene of figures at leisure in a pavilion surrounding a vacant shield. The sides bear panels of very finely worked flowers with geometric borders. The box is in excellent condition and superb quality craftsmanship. Age: early 19 C. size: 7.5cm x 6.3cm x 3cm high.

A Chinese silver tankard, applied onlaid with a continuous decoration of a phoenix, birds of paradise and storks amongst flowering trees, chrysanthemums and prunus. It has a hammered background, a vacant shield and double-walled interior. The decoration is in high relief, creating a three dimensional sculptural surface and amazingly in an excellent condition. A Chinese jade libation cup of pale green hue with a flash of russet, carved in the shape of a peach and standing on a five petal support. The outside has scrolling foliage and the handle is formed as a flower spray with a flat reticulated top surface. An excellent example of 16/17 century lapidary art and in excellent condition. A Chinese silver gilt box set with two fine jade rings and decorated with semi precious stones and enamel details. The jades are of very pale hue and translucent whilst the gilt is in very good condition. Stamped " silver" to the base. Age: late Qing to early Republican period. A Chinese jade vase, carved as a lotus leaf with a flower in one corner and a ribbon tying the leaf and its coiled trailing stalk forming the base. The composition is very attractive, the body is quite thinly carved and the stone is of celadon hue. A high quality example of Qing lapidary arts, it measures 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches) high. It comes with its own custom made wooden base. Age; 19 C. condition: excellent.

A Chinese jade plaque 17/18 C. very finely carved and pierced with precious objects e.g the canopy, endless knot etc.This reticulated example with its breathtaking virtuosity and delicate , meticulous detail is a fine example of earlier Chinese lapidary art. A dated Chinese glass snuff bottle, overlaid with a decoration of flowers and insects.This documentary bottle bears the Bing Shen year corresponding to 1836 and its fine and detailed lapidary work makes it a highly desirable object. size: 2 1/4 inches high (6 cm). Age; 1836. condition : very good, a small section of the raised coloured ring at the base is missing. The blue glass cover is lacking its spoon.

A Chinese silver vase with elaborate handles and decorated in repousse work with a phoenix on a hammered ground and the sides showing flowers and foliage, the back with a plain shield. Size: 23 cm high. weight ; 8 1/4 oz. two maker's stamps in Chinese characters on the base. It reads YUAN BEI which was an artisan workshop in Tianjin. The middle set of marks reads"wen yen" meaning "cash silver" and indicating a standard similar to Sterling...

A Chinese jade oval bowl carved in the Mughal style with lobes forming the body , the base with three concentric zones showing leaves and encircling a central flower. The body is thinly carved , the stone is of mottled pale celadon tone. A competently executed example, it measures 2 cm wide, in excellent condition, no breaks no restoration and dating to late Qing period.
