| A French moulded clear glass plaque embedded in recess with a very finely-cast white ceramic head of Napoleon Bonaparte.The profile is looking to the right and the head is decorated with a laurel wreath. This is an excellent example of the "sulphite" technique which was in use till the early part of the 19th century and lost subsequently.Age: > 1820. Size: 3 1/4 in. (8.5cm) diameter. Condition: Very good, minute nibbles to the back rim of the foliate edge. | ||||||
