| An unusual Chinese coloured lacquer scroll pot of six sided form and large decorated on each panel with a gently raised depiction of a five-clawed dragon rising from the waves. The black ground has tight crackle effect but it is not visible in the pictures.The base bears a six character mark of Guanxi.size: 10 inches (25 cm) high x 8 1/4 inches (21 cm) diameter.age: first 1/2 of 20 C. condition; there has been some well done old restoration to the extremities of the pot and there is age-related general wear, but generally of elegant appearance. | ||||||||||
