A gorgeous spiny oyster necklace, all hand done by an award winning Santo Domingo man, currently living on the Pueblo with his wife and children. His jewelry is highly sought after at the Indian Market in Santa Fe and sells in some the most prestigious stores and galleries in Santa Fe. This amazing necklace has four beautiful, hand stamped sterling barrels made by the artist and sterling silver cones at the clasp, hallmarked by the artist. There are small silver beads separating the spiny shells across the front, allowing for greater flexibility. The necklace measures 21 inches in length with a 3-1/2 inch handmade extender chain. The Santo Domingo artist started making jewelry at the age of 10, under the guidance of his talented and skilled father who designed and made Native American jewelry for Tiffany's. The family techniques and designs have been passed down from the father to his sons. This piece is quite substantial and has the earmarks of a collectors piece.
