| A Rare Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze Lama seated on a square floral patterned cushion base and his right hand in vitarka mudra and left hand holding a scripture. He wears a robe and an outer cloak both with ornate patterns with folds cascading elegantly to the front of lotus base and towards his left knee. The base plate is also gilt with 8 auspicious symbols of Buddhism with a star and flower at the centre. There are Tibetan inscriptions at the back of the cushion seat. Period: Early Qing Dynasty (AD 1644 - 1912). Height: 16 cm. | ||
