Antique Book - "Two Gray Girls"

"The Two Gray Girls and Their Opposite Neighbours" was written by Ellen Hale, author of "Three Brown Boys". It is suggested that "Three Brown Boys" was not considered politically correct and Ellen Hale wrote "Two Gray Girls" to soothe critics. The book is illustrated by Kate Greenaway, M.E.Edwards and others. It was copyrighted in 1880 and published by Cassell and Company of New York, London and Paris. The book is inscribed: "Ella C. Hamilton. From Sutie A. Pond. Nov. 21. 1890." The book measures 8 3/4 inches by 7 inches and has 256 pages. There is discoloration on pages and the corners of the cover are worn - not unexpected in a children's book of this age. The illustrations are wonderful!
