| An exceptionally rare and important bronze lidded Nils Thorsson vase on bronze base by Knud Andersen. The vase is covered with a dark Solfatara glaze, signified by a bright yellow ring around the ovoid shaped neck, which is also the shape of both base and lid, signed with the KA mark. This particular shape signifies it as a Thorsson piece, who was the only one on RC doing works in this particular design. The glaze has covered the vase leaving a few areas open to the basic glazing, and as a general, you sence the running of the exquisit dark glaze. It's 16.9" (43 cm.)High, signed with NT mark incised together with the RC mark and it is in excellent original condition. Please email for further information. | |||||||||||||||
