| A Complete and Functioning set of Six Brass English Victorian / Edwardian Period optical spirit dispensers of the type used in many British pubs. These were typically attached to a shelf at the back bar to allow viewing of spirits on offer and the dispensing process. Set to dispense 1/5 of a “gill”. The imperial unit of measure used at the time for spirits was the “gill” which was equivalent to 5 imperial ounces or 4.8 US ounces. The legal measure at the time was 1/5 of a gill which was equivalent to .96 fl. oz. Each is fully functional and bears the makers mark along with the certification / registration mark of the British Imperial Weights and Measures authority. Made of heavy brass. Each piece in the set measures 12 3/4 “in height.
