A Large Naga Headman’s Ceremonial Headdress from the Tangkhul or Yimchunger Districts,Nagaland Autonomous Region, North Eastern India Used by one of the 28 ethnic groups known as Naga. Ceremonial items such as this are most often ancestralto family or clan and handed down to succeding family or clan members. Made of Great Hornbill Beak/ Claws/ Feathers, Bear Fur, Cowry Shells, Boar Tusks, Clouded Leopard Fur, Died Horse Hair and Barking Deer Horns. There is some minor wear at the bottom rim bear hare from usage. Well used, intact and excellent condition.
