This Hand Loomed Cotton tribal textile from the Naga is from the Sema tribe and is worn by the Naga as a shawl indicating tribal affiliation and status. It has been embroidered tribal motifs. The body cloth ends in knotted tassels and is ideal for use as an exotic sofa or bed throw as well as a wall hanging. The Naga, consisting of a number of sub-groups are an ancient tribal people found in the hills of North-East India, known as Naga Land and North-Western Burma.
