A boy’s sleeveless festive cloak or collar with exceptionally fine Silk Cross Stitch Embroidery From the Miao, Nankai subgroup, Suicheng Provence, Guizhou, China. These decorative jackets were worn with the head through the hole in the center. This sat on top of a plain white cotton jacket and served primarily as a decorative detail and display of embroidery skill of wife or mother of wearer.
