| This is an absolutely stunning cut glass oval tray. 12-inches long – 8-inches wide. This is the “Brilliant” design by Krantz & Smith. The blank is excellent and the cutting extremely fine and precise. It is beautifully wheel polished. The blank is very clear and deeply cut. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. What really makes this beautiful tray stand out is the 40-point hobstars. These are scare and were not often manufactured during the Brilliant Period. Krantz & Smith started cutting glass in 1893 and quickly evolved into a leader of the finest quality wares of the time. This piece certainly exemplifies those high standards. This would be a cherished addition to any fine cut glass collection. S/H $25 including insurance. | |
