| This poster, titled" Presents from Beijing", featuring a Liberation Army solider, holding a letter and reading. Surrounding the letter are Citizen Army People. On the table it appears to be boxes of dried food. During Cultural Revolution, following on Mao's direction, many citizens, mostly farmers, had formed what is called "People's Army", as a way to show their support and admiration to the People's Liberation Army. These People's Army soldiers, often stationed out of Chinese boarders, many were there to prevent any potential attacks from foreign nations such as Taiwan or America. As Evident by the lower right corner, this painting was created by "Wu Qi Zhong", "Zhou Bo", and "Lin Yuan". Printed by TianJing Publishing Company and distributed by XiHua Publishing House in 1975, this is a first edition copy. Total of 100,000 copies were distributed. Size: 30" L by 21" W. | ||
