This Cultural revolution ceramics depicts a factory worker, who’s considered the best “class” citizens during Cultural Revolution. Often called “Factory Worker Big Brother”, during the Cultural Revolution, factory workers were portrayed as an elite class. The three elite class citizens were factory worker, liberation army soldiers and farmers. In this sculpture, this factory worker is holding a mug that says “Serve the People”, and wearing a T-shirt that says “Award”.
