This antique Chinsee bronze is a water container in the shape of fish. Original pieces of Chinese Bronzes date back as early as 16th Century B.C. and as late as 220 B.C, with many pieces created subsequently, during different periods and dynasties. It was said that during the Qing dynasty, the emperors had a love for Chinese bronze made using the traditional technique and thus there was a surge of these Chinese bronze made during the 17th and 19th century, many designs were similar or resembled pieces later discovered to be from thousand years ago.
