| Called "The looking back dragon", this Chinese bronze statue features a dragon with its head turned. Dragon is the most ancient mystical animal loved by Chinese, tracing back 6000 years ago. Ancient Chinese divided dragon into four different kinds: (Heaven dragon – “Tian Long”) the ones in charge of the sky provide renewed strength; (Mystical Dragon – “Shen Long”) the ones that bring rain and cloud; (Earth Dragoon – “Di Long”) the one in charge of the earth bring water from well; (Treasure Guardian Dragon – “Hu Cang Long”) the ones guarding the treasure provide wealth. Dragon appeared in different characters and had different looks, the Chinese believed that dragon is calm, warm creature that had good morals and principals and is a strength and luck symbol. Since it is called "Looking Back Dragon", this type of dragon motifs often appear in a pair. See M2032 for the matching dragon sculpture. Size: 16"*5"*11". Weight: 12 lbs | ||
