| This Han lady servant statue in clay is a museum replica. It was made to resemble the famous original burial objects found in Xi’An, and now in the exhibition halls of ShaanXi history museum as well as several other large museums around the world, one being the San Francisco’s Asia Art Museum. True to the original’s size and style, this carefully replicated clay statue is measured 24” high, 7” wide and 5” deep. It weighs approx. 45 lbs after packaging. A popular home décor item amongst designers, this piece is made to be for both outdoors and indoors. The unique style of having no hands, and in place of them, two holes at the end of the shoulder covered by draping rope is a typical style found in Han and Tang dynasties burial objects and sculptures. The small hole at the end of the arms were made to hold an implement. The face and the body of the statue were hand painted to resemble the originals found in the museum. The faded pigments, small chips and/or minor deterioration in the body were intentional so it would appear to be aged. | ||
