Titled “Revolutionary Committee is good!”, this rare poster serves as a documentation of the establishment of Revolutionary Committee in the provincial level. In this poster, it depicts Mao’s image, and just below him it is the slogan of “Long live to the full success of the Great Proletarian Class Cultural Revolution.” Below the slogan, it is the Chinese map, with Taiwan being not “red”. On the side of the posters in tables and columns, it shows the different provincial revolutionary committees within the country. For each province and special self regulated minority district (such as Tibet), it lists the unique slogan developed for the provinces’ RC, the person in charge of the RCs, the population of the province, the date the RC was established, the persons that each RC had put down. It is the only one we have run across that lists the provincial Revolutionary Committee in such detail and gives such a good overview of the country during this period. This poster was created by Beijng Fourth Courtyard Proletarian Class Revolutionary Faction in September 1968. Book number is 2536. 0.18 yuan. 30” x 21”.
