We don’t know much about this advertising poster but it featured a sporty girl standing by a bicycle, and on the top of the picture the four characters in Chinese stands for “Happiness is within.” Size: 31.5" long by 20.5" wide. Update: We received this information from a very helpful client - Don Marion University of Minnesota, recently. Thank you Don. Here is what he had said about this poster - "in the 1930s, Chinese movie studios would often publish posters in conjunction with major film releases, color art works which depicted a scene from a movie. People would display these in their homes as casual room decorations, much as people today frame and display posters related to movies, plays, concerts, etc. This particular poster recreates a scene from the popular 1934 film Tiyu Huanghou ( The Empress of Sport ), and the young lady depicted in the poster is its lead, Li Lihua. Ms. Li, a najor star of the 30s, will turn 80 in June, and still lives in Beijing."
