| Here is a 17th/18th. century Italian or Spanish Maiolica pottery plate. This unusual and decorative piece of early maiolica depicts a castle or villa within a forest setting. The central tower is surmounted with a baronial crown, a charming and highly unusual feature. The delightful scene painted in blues, greens, and browns is in excellent antique condition with only the usual rim chips found on early European pottery. This plate measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. | |
