| Here is a delightfully charming 17th. century carved and polychromed wooden putto. Standing nearly 14 inches tall , the adorable figure beacons with its outstretched arms. He is wearing the typical robes of the Baroque period often found on angels and has tight curly well carved hair. There is some loss to the fingers of the right hand and typical wear to the polychrome on the face and throughout,as is to be expected on a sculpture of this age.It still retains most of its original gilding which is now beautifully aged. Now displayed on a custom stand on which it stands nicely secured . All in all in excellent antique condition. This piece has an endearing smile and great antique appeal that you will enjoy for many years to come. | ||
