Three fascinating unframed miniature paintings of scenes in India. I obtained these some time ago as I felt the images were quite unusual. The smallest miniature is a painting of a large Indian building, or palace .
The oval miniature has a scene showing a mosque framed with palm trees and thatched huts in the foreground.
The final oval miniature has a strange land mass, or mountain, with what appears to be a fort in the distance on the left. In the foreground is a low flat building with two ladies in European clothes walking across a flat area towards a horse pulling a covered coach. Colors are very nice, and the pieces I would image are Victorian, or possibly Georgian.

Condition: Small one is somewhat faded but still colorful. The one with the ladies has an edge chip, and a couple of areas of paint loss on the main building. Overall they quite good considering the age of these delicate pieces.

Size: Small- 1 X 7/8 inch. The other two- 1 3/4 X 1 3/8 inches, and 1 3/4 X 1 1/2 inches.

A very attractive jabot silver gilt and turquoise sword pin. The sword separates from the scabbard and the pin placed through clothing. The scabbard is then reattached completing the sword. Made of silver gilt (tested) with small inset pearls and pavé set turquoise stones. A chain attaches from the top to bottom sections for safety purposes.

Condition: Very good. Under magnification some minor damage on a few turquoise pieces. Nothing that detractions from the overall appearance.

Size: Length- 3 1/2 inches. Across hilt- 1 inch.

A very unusual piece, shaped like a small egg with a MOP surface, and surrounded with a brass frame. The egg opens and the interior has a small thermometer set on a paper background on one side. On the other side there is a compass set in a bezel with a decorative engraved background. Really an unusual sweet little item . Probably from France, due to the spelling of 'Thermomètre'.

Condition: Very good, with minor discoloration to the brass.

A very pretty large linked tested silver chain. Interesting large S clasp closure.

Condition: Very nice.

Size: length- 26 inches.

A very lovely small turquoise memorial heart charm. Set all over with turquoise stones on the front and has a gold surround and a crystal back, with a design of hair inside the crystal. Possibly a Georgian piece.

Condition: Very nice.

Size; 1/2 X 3/8 inch.

A beautifully made ornate sculpture of bird, with sterling silver wings and tail inlaid with turquoise to represent feathers. The egg shape body is made of a pink marble like stone with lovely subtle shading. Legs and head are sterling silver as well. The piece is marked ' TAXO Mexico 925, 1-3, and the artist LEM' An exceptionally well made piece.

Condition: Very nice.

A very attractive gold framed stick pin with a hand painted sepia portrait of a young lady. Stick pin is attached to the frame with a base metal circle.

Condition: Painting excellent. Metal attachment on the pin a bit dscolored.

Size: stick pin- length 2 3/4 inches. Gold frame- length- 3/4 inch. width- 3/8 inch.

Lovely antique Austro Hungarian two piece sterling silver buckle, with designs of baskets and cherubs. Marked with Austro Hungarian mark.

Condition: Very nice.

Size: 4 X 2 inches.

A wonderful wooden box, or case, in what may be pear wood. The piece is covered on all sides (excluding the base), with cut steel studs. There is a mother of pear escutcheon with an inlaid piece on top for initials. Handle is metal, there is a key that works, and the interior is a pink silk. Quite an unusual piece.

Condition: Cut steel handle and the studs have some minor rust or discoloration, but on the whole does not detract from the appearance. Overall, very good condition.

An unusual pair of engraved 18 kt gold stickpins with turquoise stones. Stickpins are joined by a chain. Approximately $350 worth of gold, but really far to beautiful to melt down.

Condition: Very nice. Where the the pin joins the ball, the method is different on each pin. Not sure why, but both are stable.

Size: Length of each pin- 3 1/2 inches. Chain- 6 inches in length.

A small antique gold stickpin with a lovely cornflower blue natural sapphire stone in a gold surround. Really a beautiful sapphire.

Condition: Very nice.

Size: sapphire- 1/4 X 6/16 inch. Length of stickpin- 2 1/8 inches.

A very ornate Austro Hungarian belt buckle with designs of medieval figures & angels, some sitting and some standing, all around the circumference. Very well designed with pierced areas between the figures. Marked with Austro Hungarian hallmarks. Dramatic, and very wearable.

Condition: Very nice.
