A wonderful wooden box, or case, in what may be pear wood. The piece is covered on all sides (excluding the base), with cut steel studs. There is a mother of pear escutcheon with an inlaid piece on top for initials. Handle is metal, there is a key that works, and the interior is a pink silk. Quite an unusual piece.

Condition: Cut steel handle and the studs have some minor rust or discoloration, but on the whole does not detract from the appearance. Overall, very good condition.

A beautiful table snuff box with a hand painted miniature of a lady set in a gold surround on the top. On the bottom of the box is a woven hair design layered under gold initials with a gold surround. Very unusual to have a table snuff box with an insert on the bottom as well as the top. Also unusual in that the box must be a mourning piece because of the woven hair under the gold initials. Quite a magnificent piece.

Condition: Very nice. A bit of wear on the top gold edging, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance.

An absolutely gorgeous antique banded agate snuff box. Thick agate top and bottom, with brass edges. The agate of the top and bottom is matched, so the design is carried through. Quite an exceptional quality piece.

Condition: Very nice. No chips or cracks. Colors are magnificent.

A lovely olive wood inlaid souvenir Sorrento puzzle box. Shaped like seven upright books, with two other books lying flat on the top and bottom. The box has a very clever mechanism that allows the piece to open and lock into place. This accomplished by sliding the face of the center book down. In addition, one side of the bottom book slides open to reveal another panel that also slides to show a secret storage area. Really a lovely piece with inlaid swallows on the top and decorative pen work. Deep rich patina to the wood.

Condition: Very nice. No key.

A small Georgian picture frame, possibly mahogany, that is quite unusual in that both the corners and sides are decorated in the shape of riding crops. The handles of the crops are likely pearwood and there are small dot inlays along the length of the crops. There is a print in the frame at the moment, but it would suit something more important and horse related. Quite rare and beautifully constructed.

Condition: Very nice. Deep rich color and lustre to the wood.

A very well made leather over wood small traveling sewing, or writing box, marked 'Fenoux 119 - 120 Palais Royale'. The 'e' is somewhat faded out.
The box has a rich blue watered silk lining in the top that once held either sewing or writing implements. This section has a locking mechanism. The bottom of the case has 6 varied wood sections with leather edges. The construction of the box is excellent, with metal edging, handle, and lock. No key, but shuts firmly with a sliding spring catch. Quite a fascinating Palsis Royale piece.

Condition: Minor wear, but nothing significant.
