A wonderful early 19th century oil on canvas portrait of a young girl with crimped hair, a sweet expression, and a string of coral beads for good luck. She is wearing a white regency style dress with blue band trimming and ribbons on the shoulders. To her side is a theorem style basket of fruit, and behind her is a red curtain to one side as a background. She appears to be holding a piece of fruit in her hand. The picture is framed on a liner possibly for a larger frame. Really a lovely image.

Condition: Original condition. Not relined. The picture has been blacklighted and not repainted. Some areas of missing paint and a couple of minor repairs. Deep rich colors.

Size: Framed- 31 X 27 inches.
Sight size- 28 X 23 1/2 inches.

Lovely original artist proof Lithograph by V. Kasiulis, a Lithuanian artist who was born in 1918 and lived until 1995. He is likely the most recognized Lithuanian artist of the 20th century, and lived and painted in Paris for some time. His works are shown in galleries in Paris and New York museums.
An exceptionally beautiful and colorful artists proof lithograph of a jester holding a mandolin.

Three fascinating unframed miniature paintings of scenes in India. I obtained these some time ago as I felt the images were quite unusual. The smallest miniature is a painting of a large Indian building, or palace .
The oval miniature has a scene showing a mosque framed with palm trees and thatched huts in the foreground.
The final oval miniature has a strange land mass, or mountain, with what appears to be a fort in the distance on the left. In the foreground is a low flat building with two ladies in European clothes walking across a flat area towards a horse pulling a covered coach. Colors are very nice, and the pieces I would image are Victorian, or possibly Georgian.

Condition: Small one is somewhat faded but still colorful. The one with the ladies has an edge chip, and a couple of areas of paint loss on the main building. Overall they quite good considering the age of these delicate pieces.

Size: Small- 1 X 7/8 inch. The other two- 1 3/4 X 1 3/8 inches, and 1 3/4 X 1 1/2 inches.
