A beautifully made ornate sculpture of bird, with sterling silver wings and tail inlaid with turquoise to represent feathers. The egg shape body is made of a pink marble like stone with lovely subtle shading. Legs and head are sterling silver as well. The piece is marked ' TAXO Mexico 925, 1-3, and the artist LEM' An exceptionally well made piece.

Condition: Very nice.

A very beautifully designed pair of modernistic silver plate candlesticks. On tripod feet, the design has engraved lines on the legs and flat surfaces. The cups at the top have a spike to hold the candle firmly. Very well designed and appear Scandinavian, but I am not sure, as the are not marked. Very elegant in appearance.

Condition: Very nice. Silver bright.

A very interesting pair of Deco lamps, possibly mid century. The lamps have a metal base with a beveled glass square on top. Above the square is a shaped glass scalloped piece that supports a metal tulip shaped top. The tulip shaped shades have lucite handles on both sides. The lamps have the original label marked : The Leonardo Lamp Co., New York". The lamps have an off/on switch on the metal base, and have been rewired. A very striking pair of lamps.

Condition: Very nice. Work perfectly.

A very attractive small Chinese silver vinaigrette, or snuff box. Design is of a shoe with an incised design of flowers. The sliding silver top has holes in it, and I imagine the piece would primarily be used as a vinaigrette. Marked on the bottom with what appears to be SW, 35 or 85, and some Chinese writing. A very sweet small silver piece.

Condition: Very nice.

Very attractive Japanese leather embossed tobacco purse with a design of flowers that have been subtly dyed in pale greens and reds. Clasp is an elaborate brass pair of flowers. Handle consists of of a group of chains, and a Kagamibuta of brass and celluloid at the end. The interior of the purse is a printed Japanese cotton, and the purse closes with a snap that fits into a brass plaque.

Condition: Cotton interior is slightly soiled, otherwise purse is very nice,

A very sweet set of Satsuma pieces, including a pair of flower design earrings with silver posts, and a collar pin which opens and closes with the matching ball. The pin could also be used as a stick pin with the ball detached. Very attractive and quite wearable.

Condition: Very good. Bit of glue repair around the hole of the detachable ball on the pin. Not obvious when the pin is worn.

Size: Earrings- ball is a little more than 3/8 inch. Collar pin- 2 inches in length.

A very striking string of Peking glass beads in a carnelian color, interspersed with pale lavender beads and with a tongue in groove silver colored clasp.

Condition: Very nice.

A very nice antique lacquer Ojime bead with a metal center and with a design of a house in the mountains.

Condition: Very nice.

A wonderful Deco 8 piece Bakelite manicure set in a striking jade green color. The pieces are all original, and the set is complete. The original card with the set is marked - "Premier Finest steel instruments, mounted in handles of genuine Premalite".
The hexagonal case is quite large and has a fabulous deco design on the top and sides. Closes with three mental clasps and is lined with a black velvet and cream silk. A truly striking set.

Condition: Very nice. No damage to the bakelite, and the finish on the instruments is bright and clear. Overall the set appears to have been treasured, but hardly used.

An exquisite, and quite large, antique Chinese purse embroidered on both sides. This is an extraordinary purse.
It is large and has a red silk edging on one side that appears to be hand woven, or handmade in some fashion. Edging this is a gold thread couched along the side and then 6 rows of unbelievably delicate handmade knots that form a line of bumpy cord, but are actually tiny knots. This shows quite well in the picture.
There then is a central panel of silk which is embroidered with a magnificent design of shaded flowers with shaded leaves in a tiny interlocked satin stitch I believe. The other side uses different colors of silk with the same type of work. At the corners of the purse are two Chinese knotted tassels which are on both sides of the purse forming 4 tassels altogether.
The purse closes with a loop and a brass Chinese button. The handle is a woven silk green rope. Lining is pale pink silk. This purse is extraordinary and the workmanship is unbelievable.

Condition: Very good. Tiny bit of fading to inside top of lining.

Size: width- 9 1/4 inches. height- 6 1/4 inches, not counting handle.

A vivid red antique Chinese silk purse, appliquéd with a bat, symbols, leaves, and flowers. The silk body has small various colored silk pieces appliquéd on the surface. The purse has the overall shape of a gourd, with the original linen tie at the top and a drawstring at the waist with Chinese knots and tassels. Red cotton lining. A very lovely purse.

Condition: Blue silk has some wear, and the red has bled a tiny bit in some areas, but nothing that detracts from the appearance of this antique piece.

A very interesting carved bone Ojime bead with painted black circular designs around the circumference. Metal core.
