A lovely Brewster stereoscope mahogany viewer with an opening top for adjusting the light. Along with the viewer are 36 hold to light colored slides and 6 ordinary views. Many of the slides are marked on the back as to what they are. One is a strange slide with skeletons. This slide has some damage, but color is bright and the damage does not really detract from the image. A very interesting set of slides and viewer.

Size:
Viewer: 7-3/4 x 3-3/4 x 6-3/8 inches
Slides: 7 x 3-1/2 inches

Condition: Viewer is in nice condition. The interior metal mirror has some age discoloration. I have not tried to clean it. Seven of the views have some tissue splitting including the skeleton image mentioned above.

Interesting historical sporting medallion in a base metal from the British Empire Games in Vancouver C.1954. It was at these games that the "Miracle Mile" took place between Roger Bannister and John Landy at Empire Stadium. This was the first time these two (and at that time the only two) sub-four minute mile runners appeared in the same race, and also the first time two runners broke four minutes in the same race. Bannister won gold, and Landry silver.

Condition: Some age wear.

This is a very interesting enamel and gold brooch that is probably Edwardian, C. 1910. Unusual design - with a central shield, or coat of arms, flanked by what appears to be the sails of two Viking ships. These are incorporated into the overall design of a crown with enameled stones along the base and a half shield at each end. Absolutely beautiful enamel work and marked 15Kt.

Condition: Fine.

Size: Length – 2inches. Height – ½ inch

This is very interesting watch key with a swivel top showing three different stones. A bloodstone, an agate, and a citrine, or amber glass. The top swivels so each of the stones can be facing upwards. The key itself is a bit longer than usual, and I believe it to be gold plated. There is also a small ring attached a bit more than halfway up the shaft that would allow the piece to be attached to a chain. The key would then hang horizontally and make a very attractive pendant.

Condition: Very minor age wear under magnification.

Size: length- 2 inches.

Hands are slightly bent and very nicely delineated, and the arms are jointed with metal stringing.
A very sweet all bisque doll.

At one point in late Victorian times Aluminum was considered a rare and experimental material, due to its light weight and non tarnishing properties. As a result, the Victorians experimented with the metal in parts of jewelry and in individual pieces. It is quite difficult to find these pieces today, and so they have become unusual collectors items.
This particular piece is a late 19, early 2oth century, aluminum haircomb complete with its original box. The comb is quite beautiful and still as crisp as the day it was produced. Original box is marked “guaranteed not to tarnish” and still has the original cotton lining. Very unusual.

Condition: Box has minor wear with corners split. Hairpin is fine.

Size:
Length of pin- 5 inches.
Box- 5 3/8 X 1 7/8 inches.
