A vivid red antique Chinese silk purse, appliquéd
with a bat, symbols, leaves, and flowers. The silk body has small various colored silk pieces appliquéd
on the surface. The purse has the overall shape of a gourd, with the original linen tie at the top and a drawstring at the waist with Chinese knots and tassels. Red cotton lining. A very lovely purse. Condition: Blue silk has some wear, and the red has bled a tiny bit in some areas, but nothing that detracts from the appearance of this antique piece. Size: 6 1/4 X 4 inches. |
