Beautiful antique strawwork needle case. Work of this type was done by prisoners of war using dyed pieces of straw over a wooden shape. Many of these pieces have had their colors faded over the years, but this one has been well cared for, and is both bright and well designed. Tassels on each end give the case an interesting, and unusual touch. C. 1820. Condition: Fine. Size: Length- 3 7/8 inches. |
