A really unusual and colorful Bakelite piece, showing a black Bakelite stork with a long yellow bill and yellow and black glass eyes. The sides of the stork are incised to give the effect of feathers. Bakelite base is a wonderful mottled amber color with a hexagonal lined inkwell to one side. There are two grooves in the base to hold pens, and the piece stands on four small metal feet. Really a fun Bakelite piece. Condition: Very nice. Size: height-4 7/8 inches; width- 5 1/2 inches; depth- 3 5/8 inches. |
