Wonderful + one-of-a-kind … Andrée Bazot was one of the most creative enamellists of the post-WWII period. Her freeform, glossy enamel designs, in vibrant color palettes, possessed a fabulous joie de vivre—and each was one-of-a-kind. Decorating the final enamel layer with 18K gold trailings, these works were always sensual and feminine. This divine pair of Bazot earrings is no exception. Featuring yellow and orange foil enamel over copper, with raised glass frits or cookies fused to the surface, the earrings are imbued with a singular radiance. To avoid warping, they have been counter-enameled in a translucent and iridescent mauve. A treat to wear and a treasure for any 20th-Century European jewelry collection, this pair of Bazot earrings is simply irresistible! Hallmarks: Hand signed on the back of each earring— Andrée Bazot. Dimensions: 1-1/4” x 1-1/4”. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, including tight clips. |
