Catalina Pottery REGION: Los Angeles, California CIRCA: 1940 PATTERN/PATTERN NUMBER: Saguaro Art Ware Vase 5” Wide Bottom C-252 DESCRIPTION: Satin Golden Glow {M.P. 41} exterior, lined with Glacial Blue {M.P. 2}. Fabulous organic, undulating form, enhanced by extraordinary duotone glazes in satin and gloss finishes. Saguaro Art Ware was based on the shapes of the Saguaro {pronounced “Sawaro”} cactus. The line was discontinued in 1942, so this is a highly collectible piece. DIMENSIONS: 5” tall with wide bottom. MARKINGS: Catalina Pottery, Made in U.S.A. {stamped} CONDITION: Mint vintage condition, free of nicks, chips, and repairs.
