One-of-a-kind wonderful! …
Gorgeously designed, superbly constructed, and in near-mint condition, this singular purse hailing from the 1950’s is a real showpiece! With a gathered and well-padded body composed of brown crochet knit, accented with gold threads, its top opening and recessed base are made of gold metallic crochet knit that is encrusted with faceted, black and bronze metallic beads. Dazzling, faux tortoise shell lucite double handles gracefully arch above the body of the bag and the front handle is embellished with three diagonal rows of sparkling, clear rhinestones on each side. The handles sport strong brass hinges and the purse’s interior boasts a satiny brown lining, with a black, hard bottom. Eminently wearable—whether it be to the theater or a backyard barbeque—this makes a fabulous collectible for display, as well. LABEL: None. DIMENSIONS: 7-1/4” {10” including handles} x 9” x 3-1/2”. CONDITION: There are some missing beads, but this is hardly noticeable. Overall, the purse is in excellent vintage condition, with no tears, rips, pulls, cracks, stains, or repairs. |
