Composed of featherweight {also known as featherlite or bubblelite}, this gorgeous wedding cake clamper bracelet is a wonderful collectible from the 1930’s or ’40s. Here, two semicircular sections of ivory-colored featherweight—boasting a superb meerschaum appearance—have been molded, carved, and joined together by a back hinge. The entire piece is intricately sculpted in a resplendent, lusciously lifelike floral, foliate, and ribbon motif, highlighted with daffodils and anemones. The perfect “something old” accessory for a bride-to-be—as well as a fabulous vintage adornment for any occasion—this clamper is a distinctive showpiece. HALLMARKS: Unmarked. DIMENSIONS: With a 6-1/2” inner circumference x 7/8” wide x approximately 1/4” deep. CONDITION: It is in excellent vintage condition, including a tight and springy hinge mechanism. |
