Most likely American studio-made, this one-of-a-kind, open cuff bracelet boasts a visually dynamic, industrial modernist design. It has been constructed in heavy-gauge, hammered brass that is studded with knob-like, silver beads. The highly elevated silver elements imbue the piece with a dazzling dimensional and textural quality, and the firing process employed to embed the beads has given the brass an extraordinary luster and iridescence. Most likely dating to the 1970’s, this is an imposing and impressive work, whose form and function adorn the body in singular metal art. HALLMARKS/MAKER: Unsigned. DIMENSIONS: 5-3/4” inner circumference, plus 1-3/8” back opening. The cuff can be adjusted only slightly. It measures 1-1/2” wide all the way around. WEIGHT: 68.2 grams. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. |
