| El Al is the Israeli airline founded by Israel in November 1948 after the establishment of the new nation. It flew its first commercial scheduled flights—to Rome and Paris—in July 1949, and by the 1980s it was flying routes from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to many of the major cities of Europe, as well as to Asia, Africa, and the Americas. In this circa 1950's poster, an airplane casts its shadow over native dressed dolls from various countries. The poster is linen backed, measures 19" x 28" and is in excellent condition with slight color restoration on the bottom. | ||
