Gorgeous hand hammered repousse silver mirror / vanity tray. This is from Peru in the colonial style and dates to the early to mid 20th century. The silver is hammered from a thin sheet and hand cut to fit the wooden backing and protect the mirror. There is a second thin piece of silver wrapped around the frame edge. The wood is Andean hardwood – possibly mahogany. The silver has two marks (see photo): PERU and 925...

Gorgeous hand hammered repousse silver frame. This is from Peru in the colonial style and dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The silver is hammered from a thin sheet and hand cut to fit the wooden backing. The wood is a dark Andean hardwood – possibly mahogany. The silver has two marks on the bottom right (see photo): maker’s mark is NP in a diamond and “800.” The frame measures about 10 x 11-3/4 inches and fits a 5-3/4 x 7-3/4 inch image. Excellent condition.

This is marked: Sterling / Denmark / GI in dotted circle on the handle; the paddle is not marked. The mark indicates manufacture in the 1910 to 1925 timeframe. The server measures about 8 inches overall; the hollow handle is about 3 1/2 inches...
