This is a late Victorian brooch with a double Haley’s comet design. All the faceted, cut steel studs are riveted into place onto a steel backing plate and frame. Unmarked, but probably French. Measures about 3 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches. Very good condition, with a wonderful patina, a hint of rust overall, and several rusted studs (as shown).

The top two sheets (one of each half of the piece) are formed to the shape of faceted beads and polished. These are attached to the lower piece with 22 faceted cut steel studs. This is a nice long strand of graduated egg shaped black jet faceted beads. Each bead is individually knotted in place. The beads graduate in size from the smallest at about 3/8 inch long and 1/4 inch in diameter to the largest at about 1-1/8 inch long and 7/8 inch in diameter. The necklace is about 34 inches long. There is minor wear to a few of the largest beads.

This is a beautifully carved wood architectural piece that has been crafted into a sconce. The acanthus leaf surface has some in dark green, pink and yellow highlights added. The Corinthian column style acanthus leaf top is probably from the early-1900s or earlier, with the top shelf and molding a later addition to make it into a sconce. Excellent condition. Measure about 9 1/4 inches tall with the top shelf of 6-1/4 x 6 inches.

Interesting pair of carved furniture or architectural pieces. Made of hardwood and appears to have had another piece that inserted into it. Definitely hand carved as the grooves on one side and the smoothed, curved surface on the other exhibit tool marks consistent with the use of hand tools. Painted on one side in shades of dark red, green and orange, although the orange appears to be a later addition. Probably from the early-1900s or late-1800s...
