This is a wonderful little doll from the 1930s or earlier. She looks like she is either a hula girl or an American Indian girl. She is made of bisque that is painted a dark red and has movable arms and legs. Her outfit is made of leather – that is why I think she may be Native American. Her features are hand painted, including a headband. The doll has no maker’s mark that I can find. She is about 3 inches tall and in excellent condition, although the leather is quite stiff....

This is a fun little tin and celluloid windup toy from Hawaii back in the 1930s. She is in near perfect condition – the arms are a little loose, which is common for these dolls, but this one is much better than most. She dances just fine and with her feathers and beads, she puts on quite a show. Measures about 6.5 inches tall, plus her feather! Marked simply "Japan” on her neck....
