WOW! This is a gorgeous, LARGE necklace. The metal appears to be silver, but is not marked, and has a wonderful lustrous patina. The amethyst and quartz colored stones are charoite, I believe. Charoite is a quartz-like mineral discovered near the River Chara in Eastern Siberia in 1978.
The eight stones are all hand set and the setting is hand chased.
The necklace is 22 inches long, with about a 14-inch drop including the pendant. The typical stone is about 1 inch by 1/2 inch in size...
