Gorgeous carved shell cameo by world leader, Italian jeweler Giovanni Apa in original box. The detail is exceptional, from the wisps of hair to the sultry eyes to the pearl drop earrings and the delicate pearl necklace. Lovely brilliant semi-precious stones are prong set in this 14K gold flower setting. Gemstones are: garnets (2), blue topaz (2), peridot and citrine, with a center clear crystal. The piece is not marked, but I measured it several times with readings of between 14K and 18K gold. I am pricing it at 14K, but it could be higher gold content. Fantastic stickpin with a hand-pierced and chased setting that holds a round opal cabochon. Gold-filled. The top is about 5/8-inch tall by 1/2-inch wide with a pin that is about 2-1/2 inches long. It has a mark that is hard to decipher, but looks like 10 or TO (see photo). Excellent condition....

Mid-1800s yellow gold drop earrings. These appear to bear the hallmark of the city of Altenburg, Thuringia, Germany, pre-1886. The purity designation is 800, which indicates near 20K gold (19.2K actually). My tester indicates greater than 18K gold. Each has a nice dark blue sapphire in the middle of a gold "flower" and a pearl at the top. The sapphires are about 6mm diameter; the pearls about 4mm. Total weight is about 3.2 gm (0.10 TOz). Drop length is about 1 3/8 inch. Excellent condition....
