Victorian 14K Gold Brooch Hand-Painted Portrait Medallions, Turquoise and Seed Pearl Accents. Beautiful Victorian era yellow gold brooch. The central brooch is made from three connected hollow panels. Each panel has a hand-painted portrait medallion and the center one has turquoise and seed pearl accents. Fantastic antique Victorian collar and earrings with hairwork lace and black Whitby jet beads. Could be a necklace or choker. The collar has two dangling balls and a hook which would be used as closures. The earrings are remounted (long ago) as screw-backs.
Total length of the collar is about 20 inches. It is about 2 inches wide. the earrings are about 3 inches long. Excellent condition -- no losses that I can see.
Beautiful flower with petals and leaves made of faux tortoise (celluloid?) or nut casing. The flower is suspended on a spring on the end of the hairpin so that it trembles. The flower is about 2 inches by 2 3/4 inches and 3/4 inch deep – very 3-dimensional. The spring attaches to a 3 3/8 inch long two-prong hairpin. Condition is excellent for such an old, delicate piece. One petal has a spot of surface damage and one leaf is partially loose. Not much, considering …
Nice hand made bar pin with an old style hinge and early safety clasp. The metal is 10K gold and is marked on the clasp. The three rubies are prong set and the design includes two hand chased leaves. No maker’s marks. Measures about 2 1/4 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. Excellent condition.
This is a Victorian Mourning Watch Fob Locket Pendant with layered onyx on one side and carnelian on the other, all set in 10K gold. The locket was sealed when I got it, but I opened it. Inside is a sealed side with something in it! The other has a picture holder with no picture in it. The “glass” appears to be rock crystal and is broken. Dates from the 1880s.

This is a lovely, delicate brooch made from seed pearl beads that are threaded individually using horsehair onto a mother-of-pearl backing which is attached to a 14K gold frame. The round brooch is about 1-1/8 inches across. The clasp is marked 14K. Excellent condition.
This is a very nice raw gold nugget (approx. 20-22K) made into a pin. Probably from the Yukon Klondike gold rush of the 1890s. The pin on the back uses a turn of the century hinge and a C-clasp. Measures about 1-inch long and weighs about 4.4 grams or 0.145 Troy ounces. Tested, but not marked. Excellent condition.

This is a beautifully made hollow body pin. The back appears to be low karat gold or gold-filled. The front is 14K yellow gold, set with a nice little diamond (about 2mm) and decorated with enamel in-laid flowers of turquoise and white. The pin back has a C-clasp, which is marked with a G inside a diamond shield. Measures about 7/8 inch across. Excellent condition, although the diamond is securely set with just four of the five original prongs – one broke long ago.
This is a nice long strand of graduated egg shaped black jet faceted beads. Each bead is individually knotted in place. The beads graduate in size from the smallest at about 3/8 inch long and 1/4 inch in diameter to the largest at about 1-1/8 inch long and 7/8 inch in diameter. The necklace is about 34 inches long. There is minor wear to a few of the largest beads.

Beautiful Late-Victorian Bar pin with a nicely hand chased pattern in the gold and a substantial garnet solitaire (8.5 mm). The pin is marked 14k on the clasp. Total weight is 0.105 Troy oz (3.4 gms). The clasp and hinge are c1895 era, dating this piece to that time. Measures about 2 1/4 inches long. Excellent condition.
Wonderful, delicate pair of Victorian cuff links made from carved and etched shell or nut casing. The both ends of the pieces are hand etched, or incised, with flowers and scrolls. The top measures about 1/2-inch in diameter. Generally excellent condition, however there is a small, almost unnoticeable, chip on one piece.
Excellent chatelaine or watch chain with a large fob. It has a watch clip and a vest or buttonhole T-bar link. The fob has a space for a monogram on the bottom. Measures about 5 inches. Excellent condition. Wonderful piece for any Victorian jewelry or sewing collection.

This is a late Victorian belt buckle with a scrolling vine design. The piece is made of three sheets of stamped and pierced steel. The top two sheets (one of each half of the piece) are formed to the shape of faceted beads and polished. These are attached to the lower piece with 22 faceted cut steel studs. Unmarked, but probably French. Measures about 3 1/8 x 3 inches. Excellent condition, with a wonderful patina and just a tiny hint of rust.
