This is a fantastic old English textured tan leather portfolio with a handle like a small briefcase. It holds stationery, notes and a writing pad – basically a small portable secretary. It is monogrammed “E. M. Moran” and included are several sheets of fine note paper inscribed: Nathan Moran / 41 Sutter Street / San Francisco 4. Nathan Moran was a well-known lawyer in San Francisco in the 1930s. The address indicates this is from prior to 1960...

This wonderful wooden box is fitted with a lid trimmed in sterling silver and topped with an antique Chancay animal figural textile fragment under glass. The box is carved from a single piece of Andean hardwood – possibly mahogany – and measures 2 x 2 x 1 7/8 inches tall. This is a late Victorian belt buckle with a scrolling vine design. All the faceted, cut steel studs are riveted into place onto a brass backing plate. Unmarked, but probably French. Measures about 3 1/8 x 3 inches. Excellent condition, however it is missing one stud, but has a wonderful patina and just a hint of rust.
Fantastic stickpin with a hand-pierced and chased setting that holds a round opal cabochon. Gold-filled. The top is about 5/8-inch tall by 1/2-inch wide with a pin that is about 2-1/2 inches long. It has a mark that is hard to decipher, but looks like 10 or TO (see photo). Excellent condition.

Christine Charter Moorhead makes these fantastic and whimsical altered art pins in solder framed shadow boxes. She uses found objects, fragments of paper and fabric, and a variety of doo-dads. This pin features an image of a lady in cats-eye glasses. The caption says, “My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.” The box frame is silver soldered. This is a contemporary artist piece. It measures about 2 1/4 inches x 1 1/2 inches x 1/4 inch.
Gorgeous gold and carnelian bracelet. The gold is 18K yellow gold (tested, not marked). The carnelian links are nice round ring medallions. The clasp is absolutely wonderful! The bracelet is 7.5 inches long and has five graduated carnelian rings. There is a kanji or Chinese mark on the back of the clasp. Looks to be from c1900.
