WOW! This is a large Muffineer (Sugar Shaker or Caster) in a classic octagonal shape with a pierced top. Measures a full 8 1/4 inches tall. The base is marked on the side with the Chester marks indicating sterling made in 1905 by George Nathan and Ridley Hayes silversmiths (GN/RH). The removable top has the sterling and date marks. The piece weighs about 7.2 Troy ounces, or 224 grams. Excellent condition with only a few minor dings and a slight wobble to the foot.

The brass buckle slide fitting is still on the piece, which now has a pin-back glued to it. Unmarked, but probably French. Measures about 2 1/8 x 3/8 inches. Excellent condition, with a wonderful patina and just a hint of rust.
