The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha by Spaniard Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. In French. Originally published in two volumes a decade apart, in 1605 and 1615, this copy was published in 1802 by Guilleminet, Paris. Translated into French from Spanish by Bernard Florian, with frontispiece engraved by Perdoux. This copy contains both volumes 5 and 6 in one book.
This small (5-3/8 x 3-1/2 inch) hardcover book has 433 pages. Leather binding speckled with gilt lettering and decoration, and marblized paper covered boards. Very good with tight pages and covers, minor water damage, slight wear to the leather, minor paper loss to edges of covers and bumped corners. |
