This pair of wonderful 20 inch tall Greek Revival ceramic vases feature finely cast bronze mounts with figurative Greek motifs, and drip glaze of blue and gray with hints of yellow. They are unmarked and the maker and country of origin are unknown. Condition is excellent. There are no visible cracks or losses. They have the shape of a loutrophoros, a large two-handled vase designed to hold water and commonly used during marriage rituals.

This lovely Paris porcelain vase from the early/mid 19th century measures 16.2" tall and 10.2" across. They feature gild grounds, topographical painted scenes on front, and gilt ground on rear with floral wreath, stylized dolphin handles, raised acanthus motif above the neck, and pedestal with lion masks, anthemions and raised paw feet. This extraordinary palace size urn in the Sevres style, circa 1890-1900, measures 66 by 22 by 16 in (167 by 56 by 41 cm). It features a beautiful painting of a cloud-born muse surrounded by cherubs, and is signed by the artist, Maxant. It also has large gilt bronze mounts including cherubs nestled in foliate designs at the shoulders, pomegranate finial, and pedestal. Condition is very good. Glazed finish shows craquelure and there are no known restorations or visible damages.

This very large porcelain cachepot in the Sevres fashion was made by Samson of Paris, and dates from circa 1900-1920. It has a bucket form and elaborate painted decorations in the 18th century style. The lip features a parcel-gilt bas-relief frieze with rinceau motif, depicting baby Nereids and foliate scroll-mantled vases, and the body is painted with four floral roundels on a white enamel interlaced ground. This very large French porcelain dresser box dates from the mid to late nineteenth century and measures an impressive 14.25" wide, 12.75" deep and 5.5" tall (36.1 by 32.3 by 14 cm). It has no hallmarks and is believed to be an example of Paris porcelain. It features organic gilded and hand-painted floral decoration, and cast and gilded metal mounts. There are no visible cracks nor chips, and the hing works fine. Metal mount has been reglued in place.

This antique glazed and bisque porcelain compote from Royal Copenhagen dates from the late nineteenth century. It features a semi-nude maiden in classical dress, supporting a shallow bowl, and has a royal blue glaze and gilt decorations. Measures 16.2" tall and 12.4" across. It is in excellent condition, with no visible losses or signs of restoration. There are scratches and nicks, consistent with age. Our price is firm.
